Shipping Policy - The Basics

The Blackened Spine Bookshop ships orders within the United States using standard postal services. Because we are a small, independently operated bookstore, shipping is handled on a limited weekly schedule to ensure careful packing and accurate order fulfillment.

Orders are typically processed and shipped once per week, with Wednesdays serving as our primary shipping day.

Processing Time

Orders are generally processed within 1–3 business days before shipment. Orders placed after Tuesday may ship the following Wednesday.

During holidays, school breaks, or periods of high order volume, processing times may be slightly extended.

Shipping Schedule

As the shop is operated alongside academic commitments, Wednesdays are our standard shipping day. This allows us to pack books securely and ensure orders are shipped accurately.

Customers will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once their order has shipped.

Shipping Rates & Methods

Shipping costs are set at $3.99 flat per order- no matter what. We currently  do not guarantee expedited delivery.

Domestic & International Shipping

The Blackened Spine Bookshop ships within the United States and Canada.

For orders shipped to Canada, customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by Canadian authorities. These charges are not included in the shipping cost.

Delivery Estimates

Delivery times vary by location and carrier but typically range from 3-7 business days after shipment. Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed, and international orders may experience additional delays due to customs processing.

Lost or Delayed Packages

Once an order has been shipped and tracking information has been provided, The Blackened Spine Bookshop is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier. If a package appears lost, please contact us and we will assist where possible.
